Stand Up. Speak Out. Support Survivors.
Domestic violence is more than a private family matterโit is a community issue that affects individuals, children, families, and entire communities.
This October, we stand together to raise awareness, honor survivors, remember those whose lives have been impacted or lost, and strengthen our commitment to prevention, safety, and support.
Domestic violence does not discriminate. It can happen to anyone, regardless of age, background, income, or circumstances. No one deserves to live in fear, and no one should have to face abuse alone.
WEAR PURPLE
Wear purple throughout October to show your support for survivors and help raise awareness about domestic violence.
Whether itโs a purple shirt, ribbon, accessory, or simply a splash of purpleโwear it with purpose. Wear it for awareness. Wear it for survivors. Wear it for those we have lost.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Listen without judgment.
Believe survivors when they share their experiences. Let them know they are not alone.

Know the signs.
Learn about physical, emotional, financial, sexual, and digital abuse. Recognizing abuse can be the first step toward getting help.

Share resources.

Encourage safety.
